Post COVID-19 Special Exhibition Part 3
Tae KIM and Jin-Hee Park "On-tact"

In 2020, the world experienced the “untact” era caused by COVID-19. And now we are on the threshold of an era of “Ontact”, which we communicate through online. Going through the pandemic, K.O.N.G Gallery has been holding the special exhibitions on the post COVID-19 since May, 2020. The exhibition, “On-tact” presents two Millennial Korean artists, Tae KIM and Jin-Hee Park.

Tae KIM, specialized in traditional Korean painting, will present a portrait series, “Faceless Gamers”, depicting gamers she met on the online games and a series of works, “Black Cows”, satirizing the virtual world in the game.

Jin-Hee Park abstracts the wetlands, the source of the natural ecosystem, through large-scale paintings, and reflects the author's idea that the COVID-19 is the result of the arrogance of humans who neglect nature under the name of capitalism and industrialization.

This exhibition is meaningful in that we could experience a whole new world ahead of us and it  lets us think about what we need to prepare and reflect on.
