The deeply nature-loving and fantastic-surrealistic working artist Horst G. Loewel is his whole life in search of a paradise-like landscape. With his incomparably expressive and powerful, then again almost transparent painting technique, he draws the viewer under his spell and lures him into other spheres ... If not the environmental destruction committed by man always surprisingly crept into the idyll. Thus some work of the ambitious artist and biologist shakes awake, as only art can - by pictures, which touch on a deep level. 

In his search for ATLANTIS, the artist has found it in his paintings and also in his private life. On Vancouver Island he has found his personal paradise.
