From 11 March to 26 May 2023, 193 Gallery opens a new cycle on the African scenes and hosts the exhibition We are Enough, organised by AFIRIKA ARTFEST.

Conceived by Roger Niyigena Karera (co-founder of AFIRIKA ARTFEST and member of the curatorial department of 193 Gallery), Baptiste Rougeot (scenographer) and Cyril Thezenas (co-founder of AFIRIKA ARTFEST and project manager).

We are enough will present the works of: Zanele Muholi - visual activist (South Africa), Joana Choumali - mixed media (Ivory Coast), Modou Dieng Yacine - mixed media (Senegal), Thandiwe Muriu - photographer (Kenya), Evans Mbugua - mixed media painter (Kenya), April Bey - mixed media, tapestry (Bahamas) Willow Evann - sculpture, mixed media (France- Ivory Coast), Ken Nwadiobgu - installation, multimedia, painting (Nigeria), Cédric Tchinan - painter (Ivory Coast), Abe Ogunlende - painter (Nigeria), Alexis Peskine - sculptor, mixed media (France-Brazil) Spread over the 450m2 of the 193 Gallery, as well as the Galerie Carole Kvasnevski, AFIRIKA ARTFEST proposes several occasions for discussion, and exchanges at the heart of its strong scenographic approaches. We are enough is a call to deconstruct the prejudices that make up contemporary African societies.
